SPLITS CALCULATOR

  Back

DESCRIPTION:

The splits calculator determines your target split times for the distance and time specified.  Use this tool for race planning or anytime you want to maintain an even pace.  For example, to see the mile times you need to run a marathon in three hours, you would enter "26.219" for distance (if you want the results in miles), "03:00:00" in the time field and "1.0" for the split distance.  The results are shown below.  I
n order to calculate splits every 5 miles, you would enter "5" in the split distance field.  For half miles, enter a value of "0.5", and so forth.  You must enter a value for all three input fields.  The distance and split-distance fields can accept very large values, which allows you to perform calculations using meters or feet if necessary.  All Weightmania tables can be printed or copied to other applications like Excel.  Right-click (on a Mac, select the table, then press the mouse button while holding the Control key) for a speed menu with special options.

Example:  If you are planning a marathon, and want to finish in three hours, this tool will generate the result below.
