PREFERENCES

DESCRIPTION:

Most preferences are specified under the "Preferences" tab in each user's profile (see the "Creating & Editing Profiles" help section).  However for convenience, some preferences are specified under the main "Edit" menu.  This includes background color and backup settings.  Preferences accessible from the "Edit" menu are described below.

BACKGROUND COLOR:

This preference is specific to each user profile (each user can select their own color scheme).

Background Color Specifies the background color to use for the entire application.  The color you select will automatically be saved and selected on startup.  Anytime you change the background color, all currently open tools will be reset to their default state.

BACKUPS:

These preferences are global (they affect all users).  For security, access to global preferences can be blocked by selecting the appropriate check box in each user's profile.

Automatically Create Backups Specifies whether or not to automatically create backups when you exit the application  This option is selected by default.
Specify Root Backup Folder Specifies the root folder where backups are stored.  Within this folder, there is a sub-folder for each Weightmania database.  By default, this folder is called, "backups", and stored in the folder where Weightmania is installed.
Keep Last 3 Backups Specifies that the last three backups of every database will be stored.  Backups are stored under the root backup folder and automatically numbered from 1 to 3, where "1" indicates the most recent backup and "3" denotes the oldest.  Every time a backup file is created, the files are renamed and the oldest one (if there are more than three) will be deleted.  This option is selected by default.
Keep Last 5 Backups Specifies that the last five backups of every database will be stored.  Backups are stored under the root backup folder and automatically numbered from 1 to 5, where "1" indicates the most recent backup and "5" denotes the oldest.  Every time a backup file is created, the files are renamed and the oldest one (if there are more than five) will be deleted.
Keep Last 7 Backups Specifies that the last seven backups of every database will be stored.  Backups are stored under the root backup folder and automatically numbered from 1 to 7, where "1" indicates the most recent backup and "7" denotes the oldest.  Every time a backup file is created, the files are renamed and the oldest one (if there are more than seven) will be deleted.
