DESCRIPTION:

This tool estimates calories burned for common activities based on body weight.  It includes data for 240 common activities.  Total calories burned is only an approximate value.  Results will vary according to many factors, such as the intensity of the exercise and a person's fitness level.  Source:  Adapted from information provided by the United States government and data from Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, The Official Journal of the American College of Sports Medicine.

FIELDS:

English/Metric  Specifies whether to use English or metric units in the fields below.  When this option is changed, fields not used will be grayed out.
Activity Specifies a description of the exercise or activity.  Activities are listed in alphabetical order.
Weight Specifies your body weight in pounds or kilograms.
Time Specifies the total exercise time.  This should be entered in the form "HH:MM:SS", where the first box represents hours, the second minutes, and the third seconds.
Calories Burned Specifies the estimated number of calories burned for the weight, time and activity selected.
