DESCRIPTION:

This tool calculates your body fat percentage using simple measurements. 
It uses a very accurate formula based on Logarithms to estimate body fat without any special equipment.  You just need a standard tape measure.  For best results, measure to the nearest quarter inch or half centimeter.  Source:  United States Navy, United States Air Force and the American Council on Exercise.

FIELDS:

English/Metric Specifies whether to use English or metric units in the fields below.  When this option is changed, the height fields not used will be grayed out and the unit labels for each field will update.
Gender  Specifies your gender, male or female.  The formula used to calculate body fat is different for men and women.  Measurement fields not used will be grayed out.
Height Specifies your height.  Enter a value in  feet and inches or centimeters.
Neck size at narrowest point Specifies the circumference of your neck at the narrowest point.  For men, measure just below the Adam's apple.  Enter a value in inches or centimeters.
Waist size at navel Specifies the circumference of your waist horizontally across your navel.  This value is required for men but grayed out if the selected gender is female.  Enter a value in inches or centimeters. 
Abdomen at  narrowest point Specifies the circumference of your abdomen at the narrowest point.  The narrowest point is generally above the navel and below the rib cage.  This value is required for women but grayed out if the selected gender is male.  Enter a value in inches or centimeters.
Hip size at  widest point Specifies the circumference of your hips, horizontally, at the widest point.  This value is required for women but grayed out if the selected gender is male.  Enter a value in inches or centimeters.
Status Specifies a fitness rating based on your percentage of body fat.  Values are determined using the table below.
