DESCRIPTION:
This tool accurately estimates your basal metabolic rate (BMR) using common measurements.
BMR is the number of calories your body burns at rest for an entire day.
This includes sleeping. In other words, these are the calories your body consumes for respiration, pumping blood and maintaining body temperature.
BMR increases with age and is directly related to lean body mass. High values mean you have more lean body mass and low values indicate more fatty tissue.
